Christmas is our favourite time of the year, but is also our most wasteful. Who doesn’t love a Christmas jumper?! But unfortunately the trend for Christmas jumpers is no exception, with millions being purchased each year and worn only a handful of times before being cast aside with the Christmas wrapping!

With Proper Job you can upcycle an existing jumper into a festive masterpiece! Experts Sara Halsey and Susan Breedijk will be on hand to help you design, cut, stitch, embroider, applique and stick your way to your very own bespoke and sustainable Christmas sweater.

If you can please bring along a jumper or cardigan that you would like to upcycle, a hole or two or bit of wear doesn’t matter, the garment will be treated to a whole new lease of life! If you don’t have one suitable please contact info@proper-job.org with your size and we can source one from the Resource Centre for you.

This workshop is suitable for anyone from 8yrs up, but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. No experience is necessary. All equipment for decorating is supplied, however if there is something specific that you would like on your jumper (e.g flashing battery operated Christmas lights!) then please do bring them along.

Complimentary tea, coffee, squash and biscuits will be provided. Please note there is no parking at Bellacouche Studio, the town car park is on the right hand side approx 150 yards before you reach the venue.

Tickets require a donation of your choice, just pay what you can afford.
