Join Dr Compost AKA Nicky Scott at the Chagford Community Allotment on Wednesday 8th April 10am-12.30pm for a workshop learning about compost and biochar.
There is nothing Nicky doesn’t know about composting and he will share his knowledge on how to compost in your own garden or allotment.
“Somehow or other I’ve been around compost most of my life from a Saturday job whilst still at school to coordinating the Devon Community Composting Network, employed by Devon Local Authorities. I’ve been the Chair of the Community Composting Network and am a founder of Proper Job in Chagford. Along the way I’ve written books about composting, spoken at many conferences here and abroad and run innumerable compost workshops.”
We will enjoy a half time tea and refreshment break together, and you will be able to see the biochar stove in action. For the second half of the morning we will be learning about biochar.
This workshop is free, but donations are welcomed and will be split betweeen Proper Job and the Community Allotment.
