It’s AGM time of year again, which means an exciting opportunity to get involved with Proper Job! We invite all members, and anyone interested in joining our team, to attend our Annual General Meeting.
This is a really exciting time for Proper Job CIO. Though out 2018 we were recognised by the Charity Commission and were granted charitable status. This AGM will be looking back at our last year trading as a limited company. We are also looking forward, we are excited to have the opportunity to elect new members to our board of Trustees.
Thursday, March 14th 2019 18.00 at The Courtyard Cafe, 76 The Square, Chagford, TQ13 8AE
BECOME A TUSTEE
The AGM means a new Board of Trustees. Get involved in the inner workings of Proper Job and join the team that helps make our charitible organisation grow and thrive: let your name stand as a candidate for the board, or nominate someone you know! Specific strengths/experience we’re looking for in board members include accounting, bookkeeping, fundraising, human resources, running profitable events/business, managing a charity and gift aid, ‘big picture’ people, and people with a general enthusiasm for recycling, sustainability, the environment, our community, job creation or healthy living. Even more than that, though, we’re looking for people who are enthusiastic about jumping in and sharing whatever skills they may have to help our organisation be the best it can be. If you feel you could contribute, please consider serving as a Trustee or invite someone you believe could make a difference. We welcome nominations from all members, regardless of level of board experience.
If you’re not sure that a board position is right for you, but you are excited about getting in on the fun and would enjoy a more hands-on experience, consider becoming a coordinator and put your love and effort into a specific area of the business: for example reuse and fundraising etc. Some of the areas that have openings this year include helping to run repair workshops, fundraising and pop up events at shows and festivals. If you would like to be involved in coordinating any of these areas and think you would enjoy working within our team to help maintain the success of Proper Job, we encourage you to get in touch with us!
If you have questions about the AGM or you would like to stand for election, or to nominate someone you know, please contact Alison Sallis before 1st March 2019.
