Making your own compost is one of the easiest things you can do to reduce your waste, why dispose of your food and green waste when it can be such a wonderful natural resource?
Composting diverts food waste from landfills which also reduces harmful methane emissions. Creating your own compost is not only hugely beneficial to soil health, it allows the nutrients from the food to be returned to the soil, completing the natural nutrient cycle.
Nicky will talk you through the basic techniques and concepts of composting at home or at your allotment. A Q&A session will follow the talk.
