Herb & Edible Flower Container Workshop
Come along to the Proper Job Resource Centre on Saturday May 25th and learn how to put together a successful container full of herbs and edible flowers to add interest both to your garden and your kitchen.
RHS trained gardener, Mary Roe will help you put together a delicious selection of plants that will add flavour to your dinner this summer and for many seasons to come.
As well as learning how to provide the ideal conditions for herbs to thrive, you will also learn how best to care, maintain and propagate each herb so you can create lots of new herbs to give away or even create another planter! You will also learn about different composts, organic fertilizers, watering and how to prevent pests and weeds organically.
You will have the chance to repurpose a container of your choice from the proper job yard…or bring along a container of your own! Re-use a variety of materials from around the Proper Job site to make a stunning display that will keep both you and the bees happy!
The workshop costs £10+ booking fee and is open to all ages and abilities, but children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and sensible shoes with thick soles.
We will provide all herbs and plants and you will have a beautiful container full of delicious, edible goodness to take home with you at the end!
