Compost! It is impossible to get hold of at the moment. Why not make your own whilst in lockdown. Nick Scott is here to show you how.

Join us for a virtual evening of composing. Nicky will talk you through the basic concepts of what you can do to create a living, peat free compost heap at home in your garden or allotment. You can even make compost if you don’t have a garden, use your vegetable peelings and other organic waste materials.

Homemade compost is a great way to condition your soil, whether you have clay soil of sandy soil it helps to build structure and allows water and air to penetrate. Happy soil means happy plants!

Why dispose of your green waste when it can be such a useful resource? Not only is it a great resource but it helps to increase biodiversity introducing insects, fungi and birds to your garden.

Nicky has been busy making a step by step video at his allotment whilst in lockdown. We will provide a screening of this film via zoom and then open the floor for a question and answer session.
