Proper Job are collaborating with the wonderful Sara Halsey of ReWorked to host a fantastic clothing rework workshop. Do you have clothing knocking around that’s too big, too long or rather tired?? Do not throw it away! Instead bring your item along and learn how to rejuvenate and revamp it and give it a whole new lease of life! Coats can become dresses, dresses can become skirts, t-shirts can be scarves, trousers handbags and much more! Adorn tired clothing with buttons or bows, collars or ruffles.
The workshop will be held on Saturday 26th October, 1.30-4.30pm, in Endecott House, Chagford. It will begin with a brief talk about the environmental impacts of unsustainable ‘fast fashion’ and how we can change our clothes shopping habits. The workshop costs £10+booking fee and other than bringing along your item/s of clothing all other equipment and materials will be provided. We will also have plenty of clothing from Proper Job that can be used so if you can’t bring anything along please don’t worry!
The workshop is suitable for ages 14+ and all abiliites are welcome, no previous experience is necessary.
