Proper Job hosted an afternoon of reuse and repair workshops on Saturday 23rdFebruary as part of Devon Reuse week. Bike Maintenance & Repair, Tool Sharpening and Upcycled Sewing all took place in Endecott House, Chagford where attendees learned how to breathe new life into their existing belongings.

The Chagford Bike Fixer was ‘Dr Bike’ giving participants bicycles a service whilst teaching them how to care for and maintain their bicycle to ensure it is ready for some spring cycling! Blunt knives and tools were brought along and sharpened back to life under the expertise of Eric Hodges, sharing his extensive knowledge and skill with the attendees.

Unwanted clothes and old fabrics were fashioned into peg bags, tea cosies, backpacks, and even upcycled into new items of clothing with the help of Sue Nosworthy. Participants learned pattern cutting, machine skills and hand stitching, taking home some truly fabulous creations!
