Recycled Christmas Decoration and Wreath Making Workshop
The festive season got straight into full swing on Saturday 1stDecember with our Recycled Christmas Decoration and Wreath Making Workshop. Endecott House, Chagford was a hive of creativity as 30+ participants gathered to make beautiful and unique wreaths using discarded clothing.
A rainbow of different coloured and textured fabric that had been pre-ripped into strips was on offer for the attendees to choose from. The strips were then tied onto 10” wreath rings, or upcycled wire coat hanger rings and adorned with bows, creating a stunning finished effect.
This simple technique was achievable for even our youngest participant, 5 year old Frieda, and the festive atmosphere was completed with chatter, laughter, mince pies and of course mulled wine!
Many attendees also had the time to try their hand at making a more traditional foliage wreath.
Proper Job are challenging everyone to make at least one change this festive season to make their Christmas more sustainable, so why not have a go at making your own sustainable fabric wreath? Head to our FB page for a step by step guide.
